Facebook to let users tag friends in status post

facebookAccording to product manager Andrew Huang, one can tag their friends over his/her status updates.Expect this feature to be out by the next couple of weeks.

Here’s how it works. Let’s say someone post he’s having lunch at a particular place, now he can tag his friends’ name. This will make it easier for people to search for posts mentioning those particular friends.

This feature is pretty much similar to those found in photos, notes and links.

Cabbie’s tweet reunites lost BlackBerry with owner

Today I stumbled upon a story of an amazing story in social networking world. CNet news author Matt Asay share this story with us.

Some believe that Twitter has the power to change big events like Iranian elections. I think that its strength may be in much smaller, but still significant, ways.

In fact, I was the matchmaker recently between a Barcelona cabbie and an American employee of a pharmaceutical company. Well, a matchmaker between the cabbie and this lady’s BlackBerry, anyway.
