Mozilla has make yet another move in answering Microsoft’s IE 8. Introducing Firefox 3.5 RC 2. A relatively big leap from current v3.0.11. It is now available for download. But if danger is your middle name, you might want to try this out.
Why did I said so? Look out for the RC there. It means that Release Candidate is a very early version intended for web developers, not to the public yet. Such a software usually means unstable and might cause unexpected issues.
Well I didn’t write this to scare you away. So here’s the good part for the upcoming version:
- Built-in video support means there is no need for external players, like the infamous Adobe player. It will support Ogg Vorbis
- Private browsing makes you crawl through the interwebs anonymously. Kind of late compare to IE, Safari or Chrome. But hey, it’s still welcomed.
- Sometimes you might want to take a tab off from a window and put it on another window, now u can do it in Firefox. Again, other browsers have it already and probably makes it a standard.
- Delete just a single browsing history is kind of new here, since it usually works by deleting all when you click delete history.
- New JavaScript engine that executes JS even more faster. Say, 30 times faster.
As usual, the download is available in muliple languanges. Grab it here
