Apple’s new iPhone 3G S

June 19 marks the new iPhone, yet again. Introducing the iPhone 3G S with upgrades all over the hardware. It only available in 8 countries at the moment (including UK, US, Canada). And July 11 globally.

Here is  the upgrades.

3 MP camera

Yes, finally. Dump the old 2 MP. Okay Samsung or LG may already have 5 to 8 MP phones already, but hey, 3 MP with spot metering ? I’d take it.

Speed up performance

CPU upgraded from 412 MHz to 600 MHz. RAM, too, cranked up from 128 MB to 256 MB. Excited already ?

Digital compass

Never get lost in your own room anymore. Built-in magnetometer makes a powerful compass.

Picture messaging

MMS support, ’nuff said.

Video recording

With 32 GB space, you’ll have lots of room for videos of you and your friends putting prank on your neighbors (not recommended, though).

Cut and paste

Oh God bless whoever invent cut and paste. It is finally here now.

Voice command

Now we have voice-activated calls, too. Look ma, no wires!

Laptop tethering

You can browse the internet using your 3G data connection on your laptop. All thanks to the new 3.0 software upgrade.

Longer battery life

Yeap with such CPU and RAM to squeeze, your battery need extra life. Yeah, Apple engineers knew that.

For everything else, it still the same as its predecessor (screen size, etc). The pricing will be $199 for 16 GB and $299 for 32 GB. Sadly, no news for Malaysian market yet.
